Cramond care home hosts carol concert
20 December 2019
Over the weekend, Cramond Residence welcomed the Cramond Community Choir for a carol concert round the Residence’s beautiful outdoor Christmas tree.
Complete with mulled wine and mince pies, it was a wonderful way for residents and guests to celebrate the Christmas season.
The Cramond Community Choir, which meets every week in the Cramond Kirk Hall, now has more than 100 members. Covering all of the Christmas classics, the choir delighted guests with their beautiful renditions.
Eileen Gray, General Manager at Cramond Residence, said: “Christmas is such a special time of year and our residents and their families really appreciate the opportunity to celebrate here at the Residence. We aim to provide a warm and welcoming home for everyone, and there is no better time to make that come to life than over the festive period.”
As well as the carol concert, Cramond Residence also organised a charity Christmas card, with proceeds going to Alzheimer’s Scotland. Working with Cramond Primary School on the design of the card, there were 43 fantastic entries from the pupils, which were judged by the residents, and eight-year-old Arianna’s design was chosen as the winner.
Additionally, throughout December Cramond Residence set up a giving tree, collecting special presents for elderly members of the community.
