Our people

We have an experienced team of empathetic and compassionate professional nursing, care and support staff, and we are committed to delivering the highest standards of care. The Residence invests heavily in staff development and we use robust employment processes to retain the best people who have a mix of experience, skills and abilities.

Physiotherapy

The Residence has an exclusive partnership with Balanced – Edinburgh’s premier physiotherapists. Together we offer optional health and wellbeing support at the physiotherapy gym and treatment area.

Upon joining Cramond Residence, each resident is offered an assessment to determine how well they can perform daily tasks. Our physiotherapists and nurses will then recommend any exercise or treatments for individual care plans, taking into account resident’s personal aims. This may include exercise, massage, moving support or fall prevention classes.

Life at Cramond Residence

Good quality food and nutrition are also a key focus as they are essential for wellbeing and happiness at our luxury care home. Cramond Residence’s highly qualified chef leads a skilled catering team to create nutritious food plans using the finest and freshest seasonal ingredients. All meals are tailored to individual tastes, beliefs or dietary requirements.

For celebrations and special occasions, residents, friends and families can be treated to a fine dining experience in our private dining room.

Or, when visiting the Residence, our luxury afternoon tea can be served in the conservatory.

A wide programme of activities is also on offer, including musical performances, history talks, arts and crafts, and visits from the local nursery and primary school. The care home’s therapy dog, Toffee also visits every Monday.
