Here’s a date for your diary – it’s the Cramond Residence Open Day on Saturday, the 29th of October. This is your chance to come and have a nosey round our lovely care home, enjoy a ‘cuppa and a bite to eat, and ask any questions you might have.

If you are looking at residential, respite or recuperative care for yourself or a loved one, the Open Day will help you get a feel for the options we provide. You’ll be able to meet the staff, chat to Residents and see round our rooms and facilities.

Take the tour and discover for yourself why a move to Cramond offers many benefits that just can’t be enjoyed when someone is being cared for in their own home. You may also be pleasantly surprised when you compare the relative costs of the different sorts of care.

Among the friendly faces you’ll be able to meet at the Open Day will be Christian, Ross and Sarah from our management team. They’ll talk about our approach and the care packages we offer, and be able to answer any admin. or pricing questions you might have. They’ll also demonstrate how our digital care systems ensure that all residents get the bespoke care they need, and how they ensure that family members can keep tabs on how things are going in real time (even if they’re far away on holiday).

Our head chef Patsy will be on hand to talk about the delicious food she and her team whip up every day. Gary, our lifestyle leader will be chatting about the wide range of activities, outings and entertainments we offer. Our highly skilled and dedicated nurses and carers will be also available to talk about all aspects of the medical care we offer, including our specialised dementia care programme that ensures those living with the condition live a rich and fulfilling life.

Christian will be leading the tours around the residence. As you walk round, he’ll show you the different styles of beautifully appointed room we offer, including our Garden Suites which have their own private patio area and views of the beautiful communal garden.

You’ll also see how the residence is divided into nine individual homes, each named after an area of Edinburgh. Each of the homes has its own dining and living rooms in which residents can socialise. You’ll be able to find out for yourself why it’s this small community living approach that makes Cramond Residence such as friendly and convivial place to stay.

You’ll be able to explore all of the main communal areas, including our spacious main dining room, library, private ‘fine dining’ room, cinema, physiotherapy area and hairdressing salon. You’ll also be able to check out our other state-of-the art facilities, such as our high-tech therapy baths. Finally, why not stretch your legs and enjoy a turn round our beautiful gardens and summer house?
